Discord uses Open Graph and Twitter Card fields to construct an embed. Instagram pages can be difficult for that crawler to interpret consistently, especially for video. Instagram7 exposes a compact set of preview fields designed for chat clients while keeping the original publication as the destination.
Share a converted link
- Copy a public Instagram post or Reel URL.
- Replace the original hostname with
instagram7.com, or use the converter. - Paste the result in Discord and make sure link previews are enabled for the channel and your client.
An image post normally produces a thumbnail card. A Reel can produce a video-oriented card when the media is available and Discord supports the supplied stream. The exact card layout is controlled by Discord and can change independently of this service.
Troubleshooting a missing embed
Confirm that embeds are permitted in the channel, the post is public, and the URL contains a supported publication path such as /p/ or /reel/. Try a fresh message with another known-public post. If all previews are disabled in the channel, changing the URL cannot override that permission.
What the service does not do
It does not bypass private profiles or reproduce an Instagram account. It provides preview metadata for public links and sends normal browser visitors to the original publication.
